Here’s a thing that I really really wanted to share. Its not something like worth sharing to others especially that I know this is something personal. But I will write it in the way of how I view it and how I see it as something beautiful.
My former secret college crush is getting married.

When I first met you, so in love that night
And now i’m kissing your tears goodnight
And I can’t take it, you’re even perfect when you cry
Beautiful goodbye, bye, bye
It’s dripping from your eyes

Finally time to reminisce the Singapore Trip!
Our first SG trip was supposed to be last April but since I had troubles with my schedule (which was then hard to file as LWOP because I was still a trainee) we’ve moved it to June. I proposed the April date because first : it was a long weekend and will take only one from my allowed absence, second: we’ll get to board the Titanic Exhibit. But yeah, the schedule didn’t work out. However, just at the right moment, Harry Potter Exhibit was lined up next to Titanic so it was still a win-win situation. Ha. Again, I find another long weekend and settled my schedule that time. And huzzah! It worked.
So here’s the part one of our trip. Our First day! :)
Itinerary 1: From Airport to Orchard

Brother

Mom and Pop

Sisters
We’ve already visited Singapore back in 2003 (I think? I can’t remember!) And geez, its still the same. Still clean and tourist friendly! What do you expect from a First world country eh?
Itinerary 2: From Orchard Hotel to Ion Orchard
[Can’t believe we never had a picture in the hotel :))]
Stayed in the hotel for 4 days and 3 nights. The hotel was good. Probably 3 stars out of 5? The room was comfortable enough to stay but we were expecting a bit more since its one of the 4 -star hotel in Orchard. (And I can’t get over our bathroom door that has a broken lock. :)) Aaaaand, no hot chocolates being served in breakfast!) Other than that, the room service is superb and they have a lot of Pinoy concierge.

We’ve arrived around 10am I think so we headed first to Ion Orchard to grab some lunch. Thought everything wouldn’t be okay for our taste but we had the same food taste! My fear of ordering tons of Asian food started when I ordered 4 McChickens back in Hongkong, which all turned out to taste like some kind of medicine or something bitter. But hooray for SG foods because they taste okay! Haha.
Itinerary 3: From Ion Orchard to Marina Sands Bay
Now, the MRT is literally, faster than the speed of light. Only took us 10 minutes to get to the other side of Singapore. (HOW CAN WE NOT EVEN HAVE THIS KIND OF TRANSPOshizzz.)

Man-made river-like in the mall? IN THE MALL. Yes.

Okay, so here’s our supposed hotel! Only if its name was’t attached to a casino, we’ve probably be having a dear suite life in there. Papa didn’t like the thought of it. He says that too high-end hotels can just cause us awkwardness, which is true because he was just being practical as well —- being a tourist who had limited time will only use the hotel for sleeping anyway. For keen people, Papa’s head = FAIL. :))
Itinerary 4: From Marina Sands Bay Hotel to Art Science Museum

And there, hello to the world of Harry Potter… Me loves this super. Took time to sink in I am in the Potter world. :’) It has been 10 long years. Never have I imagine in my whole life I will somehow be able to see everything with my own eyes. <3 Everything was just too lovely and pretty and fascinating. This was a dream fulfilled! Too bad cameras weren’t allowed.

Who Potterhead could forget? :)
And yes, there was ze Hogwarts train and ze Sorting Hat and ze Hagrid’s Hut and ze Mandrakes (!!!) and ze moving pictures! Pure awesome. Everything a Potterhead would want to see was present in the exhibit. <3
If only I had a potfull of moolah, I’ll buy everything from the HP store. I want Hermione’s time turner and the Bertie Botts Flavoured Beans and the set of wands that can be hung in the wall and the wanted posters of Sirius Black and Harry and the house scarf!!! I couldn’t spend $40 from my extra $100 pocket money because I know that that was just our first stop. -_- But I am not regretting! :D

The famouse Singapore Ice cream bar! I MISSED! <3
Itinerary 5: From Art Science Museum to Singapore Star Flyer
Our last stop before we headed to the worship service (which was in Geylang —- and FAR!). I had a lot of fun seeing the Singapore City, like I can really really hug the whole country. The view was amazing. :)

That was a long walk.

Singapore, you are so beautiful. I can’t believe your all in my memory now. I am so coming back! <3
Day 2 next time! :))
P.S. I actually have a lot of photos to supplement this post, but as usual I am a busy girl. Sorry! x

Finally got some time to sit down and jot down my thoughts. It has been a hectic week, I must say. And I’ve been trying to cope up with all of the stress, really. You see, being a programmer slash student slash teacher slash daughter slash church officer all rolled into one is not normal. It just goes to show how the Superior proves His miracles still works for me. To be able to do all of these everyday and still be as productive and as functional servant as possible can be considered a wonder (because I cannot do anything all by myself!). I don’t know how He has laid His plans for me, but I am happy I am this busy because I don’t know how things can get any better than this.
Reality check: I am still reading the Before Ever After (yes, right there on my sidebar) and I am actually halfway through. However, my batchmates have been really attached to reading PDF stories online —- those stories created by fellow Pinoys and which were publicly published in the internet —- during breaks. I didn’t give in to their invites at first since stories like these were easily predicted. Too Pinoy-style. Too Korean-like drama. Too mushy. Too informal. Too corny. (I am too judgmental, sorry.) Mostly, the stories were created by some highschool student or college student who has just the urge to show off her dream life. Come on, the usual Cinderella tale? And with bullies? And/or the guy crush being a, well, the torpe type then falls inlove with her sooner or later? Common! But you know what they say about “Do not judge the book by its cover”?

This initially aired in 2003. Back when I was 13 years old. 13 FREAKING YEARS OLD (!!!). That, with emphasis.
I cannot seem to comprehend how time has consumed all those days of my life when everything I know in my head was simple —- when all I cared for when I sit in the passenger seat was to have the earphones stuck in my ears, see past through the greenery and endlessly dream.
