iBook Review: Hunger Games Trilogy

So lately, perhaps you’ve been thinking why I seem to stopped doing iBook reviews. Well, I did not. It’s just that I wanted to blog these three books in one post because its a trilogy. I won’t be putting GoodReads review, because I know its just that good and its very recommended!

I love this series! Super! I might be loving it more than Harry Potter series and Twilight Saga (for the record I did not read HP7 and Breaking Dawn. I am not reading end books. IDKW. Haha) But this time, of course, I’ve read the last book, Mockingjay. Maybe because its not in the movie yet, and perhaps because I’ve started reading Hunger Games before I knew it was being adapted to film.

The book is more than just pure awesomeness! I love it in a sense that everything seemed thrilling from the very start. The ripping, the introduction of the tributes, the games itself, the jabberjays scene, the rebel scenes, the District 13 actions, plus the superb and witty moves of the tributes I never expected they will do. I mean, its like whatever you expected to happen next is wrong and Collin’s witty multiple cliff-hangers makes you really want to read more, which makes it even more exciting to read.

I adore Katniss Everdeen. She is the seemingly hardcore girl tribute from District 12. The story’s protagonist. Ironically, she has her humble side, for Prim (her sister) and for people she cared so much. She’s always intriguing. Sometimes, I find it hard to understand her thoughts. And its always the same with all the books.

Plus, Peeta Mellark is so adorable! Haha. Although some of his words, actually, did not really struck me hard, I found his statements worth thinking. He always shares his side, and its something you know you can’t just ignore. Also, I love his sweet statements towards Katniss during the games. He seemed so serene and serious and sweet and likable all the times. I kind of hated the ending part of Mockingjay (where he and Katniss were trying to mend themselves from everything that had happened) but, that can pass. And did I say that he was so adorable? :D

Gale Hawthorne. What can I say? Liam Hemsworth is what I have in mind for the role. But he is so interestingly mysterious. I like guys like that. Although I kind of felt sad because he seemed to be out of the story during Mockingjay in just like a snap. And he wasn’t much talked about in Hunger Games.

Katniss exploration of love was interestingly written by Collins. Very not your typical average. Not Bella-addicted-to-Edward-she-might-lose-her-head type. A bit of Cho-Harry affair. Its cute. She’s always confused with her feelings, which for me is very easy to relate with especially when you’re having a foolish heart with what you feel for two hunks. Lol.

I hail you Collins.

I am actually planning to buy hard bounds of these books. But perhaps soon.
