Swish your way to be COOL!

I have always admired people who seem to be inspiring in so many ways in their own simple ways. I believe everyone is a fan, and there’s always this side of us that would just get star struck whenever the chances have brought us to meeting our idols. So given the chance to be up close with the people I look up to, I would definitely grab that once in a lifetime opportunity.

What to do?

The nervousness and giddiness are just some of the things that will surely prevail over our human being normalcy when we see our idols. However, I believe there are just some ways we can do to avoid getting-start-struck-so-much-I-might-stumble tendency or the my-heart-beats-so-fast-I-might-puke attitude. In other words, I make an effort to diminish my fandom overload to make things fun and memorable!

1. Try to breathe in and out. I try to breathe not too quickly though. Given that my idol is in front of me, my chances of getting an instant suffocation or difficulty of breathing is just as high as getting my body frozen through out the meet and greet! I breathe just enough to lessen the gaiety.

2. Practice what to say to them. In times like that, I think rehearsing what to say to my idol can make the meeting more memorable. I am not so good at speaking, let alone talking to an icon I admire! I do stammer and all but usually, I string the words in my head to avoid mumbling.

3. Act naturally. I always remind myself that celebs / idols I admire are just humans as well. Even when they seem too perfect in my own perception and even if they make me feel intimidated (knowing their statuses in life and their long roster of awards), it does help if I view them as a normal person who just happens to have the talent to inspire me (or just more well-known). Approaching them casually (remembering that they do not know me that much and that overconfidence might scare them out) does lessen my fan girl mode.

4. Finally, always look good and feel good. It does help when I know I feel beautiful and neat. It does boost confidence. At least for a moment, I know I don’t look that bad beside my idol. And with neat, I mean even the smell of our breaths. Its one of the things our idols will get notice first. So apart from brushing my teeth, I maintain the coolness of my breath by always having Swish Mouthwash —- with me!

With everyday fresh breath confidence, that’s how you Swish your way to hang with your idols! :D
