Nuffnang Awards, Here I Come!

If you are a blog freak then definitely you’ve heard about Nuffnang.
I’ve been blogging for like 6 years now (I’ve started back in junior high.) My blog was more of an online diary of a young teenager caught in the brink of adolescence. Ha. I’ve never really put much effort in putting my thoughts in there since blogs back then were new in the mainstream internet.
Come college when I learned the advantages of blogging —- how you can make traffic possible and earn through it. I was a hesitant blogger first, until Nuffnang came. It is an online blog advertising community created by Timothy Tiah Ewe Tiam and Cheo Ming Shen, targeting countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Hongkong, China and Australia. Now that it has come to the Philippines, you can now earn pesos in blog ads! Yay!

Now that Nuffnang community is spreading and has been well claiming the lives of currently over a million bloggers, Nuffnang has organized a so-called NAPBAS : Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards. First held in Singapore, now to be held in the Malaysian Shores!
Here’s the thing:
Come December 2011, 500 bloggers and guests from all over the Asia-Pacific region will once again take to the red carpet, and be treated to a night of fine dining and brilliant entertainment in Kuala Lumpur, the bustling metropolitan capital of Malaysia. Aside from being honoured for their hard work and contribution to the blogosphere, they will also get the opportunity to tour the city and experience the unique Malaysian culture for themselves.
Who won’t want that?
The Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards will honour the best bloggers and gather the bloggers community across the Asia-Pacific. 500 Bloggers, including the people behind famous blog sites will be invited to attend the NAPBAS to be held on December 16, 2011 in Putrajaya Marriott, Malaysia.
Not only the glamorous awarding ceremony is highly anticipated, but as well as the semi-guided tour in Malaysia, sponsored by Nuffnang —- accommodation provided!
Why do I want to attend the NAPBAS?

1. Meeting Bloggers Across Asia-Pacific Region + Partying with Nuffnang Community
Sure, I’ve met a lot of local bloggers in the country especially that bloggers today can be easily recognized through the help of the popular social media. But I do want to meet bloggers from other countries, bloggers who have a niche blog, the fashion bloggers, and those bloggers who I believe are still new to the community. I would gladly want to meet people who have the same interest as mine, despite the difference in our culture. I want to learn from them and I want to know how they view the world.
Given the opportunity, I would really like to meet the people behind Nuffnang —- Timothy Tiah Ewe Tiam and Cheo Ming Shen. I am so inspired with these guys. Setting up a blog community as large as Nuffnang can be really hard and stressful (and that is even an understatement!) but seeing how the community has grown is just so inspiring, especially now they’re widely catering Asian bloggers!
2. Explore Malaysia & Myself!

The tagline - “Malaysia, Truly Asia” comes in my mind whenever I hear the country’s name. I did visit other Asian countries years ago and boy, I would want Malaysia to add up on my list! The bloggers who will get the chance to have the exclusive invites will flock to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards 2011, have a 3D 2N stay in the Putrajaya Marriott and a semi-guided tour in Malaysia! ASDFGHJKL. Who would never die for that invite, eh?
I have also believed that this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity could help me explore my identity as well. This would somehow be one of my greatest life-changing experiences as a blogger and writer.
3. Great Experience and Be Inspired to Do More
Meeting people from different walks of life would be one of the surest thing I could experience once I get an exclusive invite. I would also like to be inspired to take a great leap from being a personal blogger to a niche blogger and I do believe the NAPBAS would be of big help with my wish. I would want to meet bloggers who do well and excel in this line of social media. Bloggers who knew techniques how to draw much traffic and writers who earn more while doing whatthey love.
I know this would be a great experience since this event is a huge package itself!
So here I am, crossing my fingers, taking a deep breath and leaving my wishes to the stars in the sky. Hopefully I get an invite! :D
