Xin Nien Kwai Le

Watched We Bought a Zoo today and after some shopping, we found this in the cardboard stands around the mall.
Those born under the sign of the horse will hardly have a dull moments in 2012, quite a few changes happening at home and in your career. If you are thinking of changing jobs, look to it in March. Given all the excitement in store in the horse for this year, you should maintain a proper diet and have enough rest. Financially, take extra care because there are signs of certain losses most probably in decisions done in haste. Romance-wise, take a more subtle approach if you meet someone special. Restrain too strong emotions such as possessiveness and jealousy so that there is less tension. Your lucky direction is south and the month of June will bring happiness. For added charm and luck, dress in green.
This kind of scared the hell out of me, though. How on earth could a fortune cardboard predict what you plan? Sure I believe you believe that fortune stuffs such as these are applied generally to people —- whoever and whatever they are. Apparently, this has been too weird. Haha. Points taken:
- quite a few changes happening at home and in your career - Common interpretation: change is inevitable. Me: acceptable.
- If you are thinking of changing jobs, look to it in March - Common interpretation: A lot under the Horse year could be thinking of changing jobs. Me: Okay. I am “changing jobs”, actually. I have already filed my resignation to the telecom (abot mo ang mundo ;)) I’ve been working for a couple of months because of the outsource stuff. And I am planning to move on the 16th of February but since everything is not yet smooth enough for my transition, (hopefully not) I might move by March. But who knows, anyway.
- you should maintain a proper diet and have enough rest - Common interpretation: Everyone needs this as note to self anyway. Me: I’ve just had my chest xray last last week and with so much luck, something was found in my right chest. Not sure if it was scar or something so I had to take another view for the xray —- which actually caused me and my parents to freak out a bit since I was always normal. Perhaps cause of stress at work and the shifting schedule but, anyway, its the “I DO NEED THE PROPER DIET AND REST” that is what I was aiming.
- Financially, take extra care because there are signs of certain losses most probably in decisions done in haste - Common interpretation: Poverty is widespread more than ever so everyone should take one of the golden rules : save. Me: I’ve been spending 1/4 of my salary to nothingness. The half on food. So I don’t save a lot. Really. Im such an impulsive buyer.
- Romance-wise, take a more subtle approach if you meet someone special. Restrain too strong emotions such as possessiveness and jealousy so that there is less tension - Common interpretation: Too general. It applies to everyone. Me: Oh, did that freaking fortune cardboard I am reading talked about my personality? Seriously?
- Your lucky direction is south and the month of June will bring happiness - Common interpretation: Whut??? Me: WHUUUUT? If there is something in south that I am fully aware of, its Laguna —- my favorite place in the country. And what the hell is up with June? Why can’t it just be the Ber months, or February or January? I will check this out.
- For added charm and luck, dress in green. - Common interpretation: Too earthly. Me: Of all the colors, I’ve attached green to my crush back in college because, obviously, he wears a lot of green polo shirts —- or not? I can’t remember. Or I think it was because he looked awfully handsome in that green polo shirt my mind reminds me of. He’s been quite traveling somewhere in my heart still, I do not know where this would head though. But green is not my favorite, and green is not appealing unless you love nature, and green pertains somehow to dirty minds, so why is green my lucky color, you fortune cardboard teller?!
Anyway, I do not believe it. I just find it interesting. And to think that it actually seemed coordinated with what I am going through.
P.S.
For some added information of why its not Kung Hei Fat Choi, you might want to read this. ;) (But actually, I am a fan of Mandarin so I put Xin Nien Kwai Le instead.)
Super P.S.
If you are asking if we have a chinese blood (because I am chinky when I do not get to sleep and when I just woke up, and my sisters were a bit chinkier than me) I also asked my Mom that same question a few years ago and her respond was “Patak na lang ng (just a drop of) chinese blood” HAHAHA. Because we’re said to be more of Spanish. (the Cruz and the skin).
Anyway, that is too much talking so…there.
Xin Nien Kwai Le!!!
