My officemates always ask me if I am a Taylor Swift fan, because I have her almost anywhere I go.
And yeah, I am kind of being blessed with apple stuffs. I would actually love to give them a name. Any suggestions?
(Now I am going to blog this because it’s one perfect excuse to use the photo templates I made! :D + to answer the question that has long been given by an anon in my twitter which unfortunately, I cannot find anymore. It was “did you gave your iPad2 a name?”)
The first apple stuff that I had was the Ipod Mini which fell in my bare hands in pink and I loved it to death until you know, it had a battery problem and since Apple’s specs were priced like buying brand new products, we had no other choice but to leave it as it is. And then came the nano (the first colored Ipod), which I used for like 3 years and which used to be my best friend during my freshman year in college. But like the mini, it died of battery overusage. The screen went black and looked like something sparked in the inside.
And then, before my 1st year ended came Macmac. He’s my first laptop. Secondhand. But still, its mac. So even when the Powerbook’s G4 was already obsolete that time, I still found myself in giddiness, because, ITS MAC. And its sleek and shiny and the icons and the environment were too genius —- well during that time, I guess. And we cannot afford a mac, seriously. Like you, I can always dream but I can never afford. Ha-ha.
Since my course requires a lot of programming, I have to still use the desktop because, Macmac is slow and his cursor is running like, of all the animals, a turtle. Which leaves me to decide that Macmac has to be for my iPod (secondhand, from my father) from then on since he’s old and he’s a charger dependent anyway.
iPod came and until now, he is still what I use but sadly he got no name. I am thinking of Macintosh-acquired name. I did thought about it days ago and I came up with Macky. Ha. Lame. But that was what came first so be it.
My last update on Macky was last summer since my sister had accidentally misused the charger of Macmac and because Macmac is battery dependent, he’s dead now —- I mean, idle for quite a long time now. And yes, bear with my loneliness on Macky’s not so updated song list!
The iPad2 came last year after summer, when I unexpectedly won an essay contest. And after a hard time thinking, I am naming her (because she’s in pink leather case) Macphie. As in Mac-fih. :)) (GAH this is so lame and difficult :))) She is widely used for my iBook reads and app addiction. :)
And of course, the unexpected-new-year’s-gift-from-ninong-just-because-I-work-in-the-telecom-and-just-because-he-gave-Pop-the-4s-and-perhaps-he-sensed-I-needed-a-buddy-journal-and-a-handy-little-camera, meet Mackenzie. This time, I love her name, which clearly sounded familiar (the Father’s Bride!) and I love her even more for being so handy. She’s in pink leather case too! Well, yeah, Im a bit girly in real life!
Finally, giving names to my gadgets = check.
Oh, and did you know that I did not even spend a single dime in any of these?
Ha. I feel so lucky.
